Duties include but not limited to:
Heavy Duty Trucks Areas of Specialization:
Front-end components, Engine repair, Electrical and electronic systems, Diesel engines, Diagnostics, Alignment, Steering and suspension, Brake systems, Hydraulic systems, Fuel and emission systems, Ignition and electrical systems, Automatic transmission, Standard Transmission, AC, cooling and heating systems, Engine repair and overhaul, Drive train components, Welding, Truck-trailer repair.
Specific Skills: Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems, adjust, repair or replace parts and components of truck-trailer systems.
Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer’s specifications, Perform scheduled maintenance service

Service Advisor
As a front line company representative, candidates are to maintain a professional appearance and engage customers/staff in a positive manner
Duties include: Communicate with Customers, Service and Parts staff. scheduling appointments, performing vehicle check-in and intake of customer requests. creating repair orders, completing and delivering repair estimates. Communicating to customer during repair process, securing payment. Process repair invoicing, collecting payment etc. Communicating to customers using various methods including; phone, email and social media formats.
Shop Foreman position
Oversee a shift of 4-8 mechanics and apprentices in a busy Volvo Truck Dealership. Dispatching & monitoring technician performance & maintain quality control including road tests. Assist in diagnostics and instruction where applicable.
Communication with service advisors regarding workflow and estimates to customers. Occasional involvement in customer interview for accurate Repair Order/description write up.

Gerry’s Truck Centre is pleased to expand its staff in our Woodstock parts department. We offer competitive wage and benefit packages, a friendly and cooperative working environment.
Duties include:
- Receive, unpack and sort incoming parts, supplies and materials, Identify, label and catalogue items received, Store items in warehouse or supply area. Ship, deliver or pick up parts, products or equipment,
- Process incoming requisitions, Issue and distribute parts and supplies for internal use, conduct sales calls, perform general office duties, Clean and maintain office, supply area or warehouse
- Prepare and track work orders, advise on use and appropriateness of goods or parts, maintain records on inventory control system, set-up displays of retail parts and accessories,
- Answer telephone and relay telephone calls and messages, Sell spare and replacement parts, Answer customer inquiries, Handle cash transactions.
Education:
- Secondary School (Required)
Experience:
- parts/retail: 3 years (preferred)
- truck parts/repair industry: 2 years (preferred).
Qualifications
